Photographer Gearon has stirred controversy for photographing her young children nude; here she turns the lens on her mother. Gearon comes to grips with how her mother's lifelong mental illness affected her upbringing by photographing her eccentric parent as a form of therapy. But is the camera connecting or distancing Gearon from her family? Co-director Jack Youngelson (producer, Ghosts of Abu Ghraib) creates a moving film about mothers and daughters that transcends the art of photography.
