Rock photographer Lucia Graca’s debut solo exhibition, Sound Spaces, depicts music venues from across the world, transforming them from theatres and concert halls into cultural landscapes. She redirects focus from the stage to the spaces themselves to consider history, architecture, nostalgia, and the transience of experience. Her subjects range from such icons as Toronto’s Massey Hall and London’s Brixton Academy to repurposed theatres, ransacked dive bars, and festival fields. Her aesthetic is reverential, chaotic, and exhilarating.
