Hotel Bogota, just off Kurfürstendamn in Berlin, has a long photographic history—perhaps second to none. It housed the studio of the first female fashion photographer, Yva. In 1936, Helmut Newton became her pupil and shortly thereafter, the Nazi occupation sadly resulted in her murder. Witek discovered this hotel in 2004 and has been photographing it ever since. All images are printed on fibre paper from black-and-white negatives.
