Portuguese-Canadian History Project


This exhibition presents a photographic essay on the history of Portuguese immigrants and their descendants, in celebration of the 60th anniversary of Portuguese mass migration to Canada. Archival photographs provided by the Portuguese-Canadian History Project (Raphael Costa, Gilberto Fernandes, Susana Miranda, and Emanuel da Silva) through the Clara Thomas Archives and Special Collections at York University, document the Portuguese immigrant experience in Canada.
