A Thousand Words presents artists from eight countries collaborating to explore complexities of language and communication in today’s global community. More than 80 participants in the International Art Collaboration network (INTAC), representing universities in Canada, China, Finland, Germany, India, Mexico, South Korea, and the United States, have collaborated online, producing clusters of photographs, video, audio, and more. These artists strive to communicate through culturally specific perspectives, creating a blended language to challenge barriers to understanding.
