Shirley finds meaning infinitely reflected across Europe and discovers images echoed in light, glass, and stilled water. Each image contains another image captured within it, akin to a photographic set of Russian nesting dolls. Shirley’s parting gift to Europe is giving historic cityscapes, and viewers, the ability to see themselves reflected in the present for the very first time. Reflections gives viewers permission to stare deeply and get lost.
