Morgan Sears-Williams’ work is based in documentary and experimental practices, using a combination of lens-based practice, publication and mixed media works. Her practice explores themes of feminist queer histories, collective memory, and questioning institutional archiving practices. As a queer femme, her art practices engages with her community by examining intersectional identities, exploring both the joy and challenges folks face due to structural oppression.
Morgan’s artwork has been exhibited in Toronto, Kingston Ontario, the U.K., Japan, and has been included in various publications. Alongside her creative process, she is an active community member, and a founding member of RUDE collective.
