Brian Dedora’s analogue practice asks: “How is narrative made?” Through the use of dissonance, disruption, and misalignment, his intention in black-and-white (both actual and metaphorical) is to place the viewer in a position of knowing and not-knowing simultaneously, while leaving room for humour, puzzlement, and resolution.

The photographic event becomes a literary and photo occurrence that draws together visual poetry, intentional disruption, and conceptual idioms. The exhibition is a photo reading of themes from the present climate, plus an experiment in another definition of conceptual photography.
