Constructed modes of working with photography are fundamental for many artists today. Is the proliferation of this approach leading to the demise of traditional photography as we have known it? How do European photographers deal with tradition and the social/political aspects of their work?
Join us for a lively debate with some of the leading European artists, photographers and curators in CONTACT 2007. Among the participants are Philippe Ramette, an internationally renowned photo-performance artist and sculptor from Paris, and Jonathan de Villiers, an innovative fashion photographer who lives in London and Paris. Both Ramette and de Villiers are exhibiting their work through CONTACT’s public installation program; see Public Installations for details.
