Beaujolais Villages

Jim Blomfield

Despite Beaujolais’s worldwide reputation for wine, few visitors spend extended time there, preferring instead to overnight on their way to somewhere else. An Internet search of Beaujolais reveals numerous imagesof vineyards and rolling hills with villages situated picturesquely off in the distance, but few of the villages themselves. Could photographs showing these villages in greater intimacy provide the impetus to change tourist perceptions and behaviour?
