Christina Chan

DENSE CITIES explores the beauty and significance of urban density through intimate photographs of their most rudimentary artifacts. Perceivable chaos is given aesthetic form, yet individual character thrives in subtle detail. Chan’s work suggests a metaphor about the rich potential for socio-economic pluralism in the collective environment. These photographs of some of the world’s densest cities, from Hong Kong to Buenos Aires, are a manifesto for reflection about densification in our own city.
