Rino Noto

“Nothing is more fleeting than external form, which withers and alters like flowers of the field at the appearance of autumn” (Umberto Eco). Working with a corps of 12 beauty contestants, Noto explores an expression of the temporal existence of beauty, one that transcends the forced stylization and asphyxiation of the media machine. The result is a photo-narrative in which interior and exterior switch roles and human frailty is worn like make-up.
