Surface explores the interaction between human and natural design, contemplating the myriad of possibilities and perspectives revealed by life’s intricate incongruities and chaotic correlations. Time as nature’s arbiter creates constant change; crumbling cement or peeling paint gradually take on forms other than those first perceived. Freezing time, the photograph crystallizes this combination, enabling reflection on what might otherwise be visible only fleetingly. Further photographs continue this examination of accidental abstractions, observing design resulting from computer monitor malfunction.
