Permanent Scar - New Work

Bradley Lipton

Corroded iron is a strong material; although already decaying, with proper maintenance it can last a long time. Lipton compares himself to the metal in his photographs: rotting and decrepit. Nature has aged the metal and his photographs capture the evolving process, showing the patterns, symmetry, and shadows. “Images are metaphors for how I feel. I am relating aging tales. I call my series of photographs ‘architectural portraiture.’”
