Camphill Grangemockler: Portrait of a Farm

Molly Crealock

Ten years after her initial visit, Crealock returned to Grangemockler, Ireland, for the 20th anniversary of a communal farm. There she became re-acquainted with the farm’s permanent residents—adults with intellectual and psychological challenges—who, along with the animals and the land itself, make up the fabric of the farm. Crealock’s pastoral images create a portrait of the farm as a holistic entity, thereby blurring the lines between farmer and farm, figure and ground.
