Barrens and Bogs

Jason Hashimoto

Barrens and Bogs is an exhibition of images that explore the rural, coastal landscapes of southeastern Newfoundland. In these photographs, Hashimoto captures a rugged, harsh environment while contrasting this against the backdrop of Trinity Bay's coastal villages. Newfoundland has some of the most beautiful landscapes in Canada, but it is also an unforgiving place where people have learned to adapt to the elements and carve out communities where land meets sea.

Exhibition is on view in front window during daylight hours or by appointment.
