Reconstructing Blackness: Michèle Pearson Clarke on Portraiture and Identity

In this workshop, participants will learn about G44 artist-in-residence Michèle Pearson Clarke’s techniques (both conceptual and technical), and the issues of representation, vulnerability, and political engagement that she is thinking through as she explores masculinity, repetition, and the performative potential of portraiture during her residency.
