Barrier Free Media invites you to experience life from the point of view of photographer, filmmaker, and accessibility advocate Adam Cohoon. When he couldn’t experience art in most of Toronto’s art galleries because of wheelchair inaccessibility, he decided to take matters into his own hands: he had a GoPro camera mounted to his motorized wheelchair so he could take pictures of the very places that were off limits to him.
Doors open at 6pm to see the exhibition. Cohoon will give a brief introduction at 7pm, followed by a preview screening of his latest film project, Barrier Free: The Art of Adam Cohoon, a short documentary film directed by Toronto filmmaker Fotis Kanteres.
Admission is free and the venue is wheelchair accessible.
