Welcome to the 25th annual Scotiabank CONTACT Photography Festival
Photography is a meaningful art form that expresses stories about the world around us. This year we’re celebrating the power of this medium with festival goers virtually. We’re committed to embracing the Toronto Year of Public Art, a year-long celebration of art and community, and we are offering robust content digitally.
Through CONTACT, the largest and most prestigious photography event of its kind in the world, we celebrate the art and power of photography. The 2021 Festival features more than 150 exhibitions across the Greater Toronto Area and provides exposure for more than 500 talented artists.
This year, CONTACT will showcase the work of one of Canada’s most accomplished artists: Dana Claxton, the 2020 Scotiabank Photography Award Winner.
The Scotiabank CONTACT Photography Festival will also showcase the works of the 2020 New Generation Photography Award Winners: Noah Friebel, Katherine Takpannie, and Curtiss Randolph and the 2021 winners: Dustin Brons, Chris Donovan, and Dainesha Nugent-Palache.
At Scotiabank, we believe that the arts enrich our communities and our society in significant ways. We are committed to celebrating artistic achievements and making space for Canadian storytelling. This is demonstrated by our support of the Scotiabank CONTACT Photography Festival, the Scotiabank Photography Award and the New Generation Photography Award now in its fourth year.
Scotiabank is proud to serve as the title sponsor for this important celebration.
